“ FANTASTIC SERVICE! Food quality each time we have been is excellent. Drinks are not bad...a bit on the weak side. Most of the seating is very comfortable. The Fajitas are large enough to share! Check it out! ”
“ We enjoyed Valentines Dinner at Casa Mendoza this year. It was not too crowded around 7:30, they had live mariachi and seating was available in the dining room, and bar areas. We split the tostada salad and mini beef chimichangas . The chicken tostada salad was delicious, with fresh and flavorful chicken breast over shredded lettuce, beans, cheese sour cream and guacamole. The mini chimichangas were amazing!! I highly recommend trying them, I loved the flavor and addition of chopped sautéd chile peppers. We love stopping into this location when we find ourselves in Palm Dessert. ”
“ Tried it out and loved it. Food was great and protein portions were generous. Not too spicy. The layout was spacious. Tables weren't packed in tight. Great modern Mexican decor. Staff were really friendly. Definitely will become a regular. ”
“ A very well-appointed, authentic Mexican Pueblo style restaurant with excellent Fajitas, worthy of sharing. The homemade salsa has a pleasant kick to it and service was attentive. Prices are very reasonable for what you receive. Verdict? We're going back to try more dishes! ”
“ My wife and I visited Casa Mendoza recently and had a very nice dinner. Saturday nights in the summer are never crowded anywhere, but Casa Mendoza was doing a brisk business. Still, parking was very convenient and we were seated immediately. The mini chimichangas appetizer was really fun and tasty and probably a bit too filling for two people who would also order entrees, like us. But I'm not complaining! Just know if you order them, you might not be able to finish the generous entrees they offer. I seem to be on a Chile Relleno kick this summer, and that visit was no exception. I was particularly pleased by the fact that the stem and seeds were fully removed before stuffing and frying the poblano pepper. It was piping hot, as it should be, and served with very tasty refried beans. My wife tried the Pollo Mole. She doesn't order mole often, but she was very glad she did. The mole was fragrant and she enjoyed it very much. Service is quick and friendly. We could hear servers chatting familiarly with other guests who m seemed to be known regulars. There are a lot of TVs here, and the vibe has a touch of a sports bar/social atmosphere that makes me want to return to catch a game, have a few drinks with friends and split another order of those mini chimis! We are glad we stopped by for dinner. You will too. ”
“ Had to come back on here and give Chelly the server a shoutout. We came here for my nephews pre-k graduation and she handle our large party amazing! Quick service and English and Spanish speaking to accommodate everyone. She made my nephew feel oh so special singing him a variation of happy graduation (vs birthday) song with the sombrero on his head. My brother and I have both been here separately 3 other times because we just can't stop coming back for the good food and good times and Chelly definitely helped make this time memorable! ”
“ Returned to Casa Mendoza for lunch today. Was on their website, realized on Thursday their special is Caldo de Res. I love Caldo de Res when it is made right. The beef needs to be well trimmed and cooked to a tender (buttery) stage. Many Mexican restaurants screw this up. Hence, I ordered this dish concerned over what they would serve me. CALDO DE RES LOVED it. The beef was perfect. The carrots, potatoes and zucchini were fresh, hot and packed with flavor. The well-seasoned beef broth was the star here. Clearly 5-star caldo de res. It came with 5-star Mexican rice and corn tortillas. $16.95 well spent. They offer caldo on Wednesdays and Thursdays. SKINNY MARGARITA One large margarita is all you need. Delicious. This time I had it made with Tajin. Next time will do salt, better with salt. Service was great, decor nice yet appropriate. Glad these folks opened near my house. ”
“ Decor: 5 star Fun little place with great ambiance. Mexican Pueblo vibe without leaving Palm Desert. Fun music in the background (not too loud), comfy booths! Service: 5 star Mireya was our waitress. 5 star service from the moment we sat down to the moment we left the restaurant. She is very knowledgeable about the menu, very kind, and very attentive. Carnitas Plate: 4 stars! A generous portion of well-seasoned pork carnitas served alongside a bed of rice, refried beans and I chose corn tortillas. The dish comes with a side of pico de gallo and guacamole. The carnitas were good, but I have a feeling the dish to order here is either the fajitas or the seafood. I look forward to coming back to Casa Mendoza and trying the other food items! ”
